ABOUT THE AUTHORS
GREG SURRATT
Greg Surratt is the founding pastor of Seacoast Church, which he planted with a small group of like-minded people in 1988. Together, they made 16,000 phone calls to people in the area to better understand what they look for in a church.
Today, Seacoast has a dozen campuses throughout South Carolina and North Carolina, as well as a thriving online community.
Over the past several years, Greg has grown increasingly concerned with the mental health of pastors, with studies showing as many as 42% of them are in various stages of burnout. In 2018, Greg founded The Pastors Collective to address this growing crisis, and opened The Retreat at Church Creek in 2021 to provide a refuge for pastors to rest and make lasting connections with others.
Greg is a co-founder of the Association of Related Churches (ARC), which is a global church-planting initiative that has established over 1,000 churches worldwide since its founding in 2000. He is the author of the books IR-REV-REND, Re-visioning, and The Endurance Factor, as well as a contributor to various podcasts and magazines.

Greg is married to his childhood sweetheart, Debbie, and together they have four children and fourteen grandchildren. He enjoys photography, fishing, golfing, and rooting for the Cubs, Broncos, and Gamecocks.
CHIP JUDD
Chip Judd is the Pastor of Leadership Care at Seacoast Church in Charleston, SC, where he invests in the health and development of the staff and campus pastors. He is honored to work under Greg and Josh Surratt to help leaders “Live Well and Finish Strong.”

He is also the Founder of MorphQuest, a 501(c)(3) through which he counsels, coaches, and consults with individuals, leaders, and organizations helping them to identify, chal- lenge, and change their counterproductive patterns of thought, belief, or behavior.

Chip has been in pastoral ministry for over forty-three years and counseling has been a large part of his ministry from the beginning. He received his Master’s in Counseling at The Citadel and started a counseling practice in addition to continuing to pastor. Chip’s counseling and pastoring experience combine to give him unique and powerful insight into blind spots and blockages in marriages, families, churches, and their ministry teams.
He seeks to present Biblical truth mixed with "sanctified psychology" to bring about real freedom and lasting change.
Chip and Coleen have been married for forty-seven years and have three married adult children, two great sons-in-law, a great daughter-in-law, and seven amazing grandchildren.
